Beyond limits Maroussia Klep & Jose Huedo

They are Yousra, Abdel, Ahmed, Yassine, Marie, Illias, Mounsef, Soufiane, Alina, and Nabil. They are between 19 and 29 years old and they come from Morocco, Rwanda and Eastern Europe. They have all lived in Brussels for many years and are finding it difficult to make a place for themselves there. Without work or prospects, some deplore a school system that is ill-adapted to present-day society. On their own initiative, they decided to participate in a coaching and support session held in the former Bellevue brewery in Molenbeek, as a way of breaking free of this negative spiral. The film follows the progression of their thinking and their experience over the four weeks. The days are difficult, they do not know each other and they remain rather mistrustful of each other and the coaches. Then, little by little, the words begin to flow. They learn to know themselves better and start to regain confidence in themselves. They realise that they are not alone in their daily struggles. After a month, most of the youths are determined to overcome the obstacles in their path and take back the reins of their lives. New hope is born. Will it hold up in the outside world?
